Silica Aerogel Powder/Particles are a kind of inorganic material with a unique three-dimensional(3D) nanoporous network structure. Its porosity is up to 80~99% and its density is extremely low. Its pore size is 10~ 50nm, and its thermal conductivity at room temperature can be as low as 0.013W/ (m.K).

Product Applications

With excellent heat insulation performance, good sound insulation performance, and strong adsorption performance, while being ultralight, environmentally friendly, flame retardant, and hydrophobic, SiliPorous can be widely applied in various fields like thermal, acoustics, mechanics, optics, electricity and pharmacy, etc, mainly used as the functional additive or raw material in:

  • Aerogel thermal insulation coating, aerogel slurry

  • Polyester chip and functional polyester film

  • Insulation foam sheet filler

  • Functional filler of purification and adsorption products

  • Nano oil-displacement agent which is “super-hydrophobic and super-lipophilic”

  • Reducing the density while improving the thermal insulation performance, fire resistance, and impact resistance of composite materials

  • Excellent thermal insulation performance
    The pore size is much smaller than the free path of air molecules (70nm). On one hand, this special structure locks air molecules firmly, greatly reducing air heat convection, and on the other hand, it forms an “infinitely long” path for heat conduction, thus resulting in the extremely low thermal conductivity of this material.

  • Extremely low density
    Its porosity is up to 80~99%, thus making it ultralight.

  • Flame retardant
    With over 99% inorganic silica as the main ingredient, it is Grade A flame-retardant.

  • Durable heat resistance
    The unique three-dimensional(3D) nanoporous network structure provides excellent thermal stability, avoiding the decline in thermal insulation performance after long-term use which happens often in conventional thermal insulation materials.

  • Hydrophobic
    Its hydrophobic rate can be as high as 98%. It can effectively prevent water from penetrating and maintain good thermal insulation performance for a long time.

  • Strong adsorption
    With a high specific surface area, it has excellent adsorption

  • Non-toxic and environmentally friendly
